Piet Middelkoop
Chief Executive Officer | Chairman of the Board
Piet Middelkoop has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of Van Ameyde since 2006, driving the company’s growth through an IT-driven strategy. He joined in 2005 as Board Member and Managing Director of Van Ameyde UK. Holding a Master’s in Public Administration from Leiden University, Piet previously served as Managing Director and co-founder of KPMG FlexSourcing, Senior Manager at KPMG Management Services, and Sector Manager for Healthcare & Social Welfare at Cadans. He oversees business development, IT strategy, and mergers and acquisitions, and since 2014 has been a non-executive director of a mutual insurance company.
Jan-Michiel Cillessen
Chief Operating Officer | Board Member
As COO, Jan-Michiel Cillessen leads all operational activities at Van Ameyde, focusing on optimising claims management. He delivers large international contracts for insurers and risk managers and coordinates complex IT projects. Trained in Information Management & Technology at Tilburg University, he also holds qualifications in supply chain management (IMD) and finance (INSEAD). Previously, he was Managing Director Property & Casualty SME and Director Customer Services Non-Life at Nationale-Nederlanden, alongside holding supervisory positions.
Bob de Bruijn
Chief Financial Officer | Board Member
Bob de Bruijn joined the Board in 2019 and became CFO in 2020. He leads the Loss Adjusting Division, overseeing strategy and operations in marine cargo, hull and machinery, commercial property, liability, CAR, and electronics. Joining Van Ameyde in 2018 as Director, he was previously Regional Managing Director Benelux. Bob began his career at Van Ameyde in 2009 as international project manager, later becoming Business Development Manager and then Director, achieving significant growth and pan-European contracts. He holds a Master’s in Economics and Business from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a postgraduate qualification from Fontainebleau.
